Description
Title from item. Glass negative number in Oakland History Room's collection: G-122. The proprietors of the Piggly Wiggly store at 3966 Piedmont Avenue used the display windows to proclaim that "We double dog dare anyone to undersell this store." The Piggly Wiggly name would eventually disappear on the West Coast, replaced by the Safeway designation.
