Description
In the foreground is the building used as a school in Brisbane from 1930 to 1936, Santa Clara Street, first grade. On Alvarado Street second to fourth grades. The older children went to Bayshore for school. The cost to rent this building was $10 per month. The new elementary school can be seen under contruction in the background. It was built with assistance from the WPA. Photograph taken May 15, 1936.
