Accession number: P457 Duplicate of accession number P7044 Photograph donated by Alfred Solano. Oval portrait of George Hansen, "Father of Anaheim," civil engineer and surveyor, who arrived in Los Angeles in 1853, borrowed $100 to purchase surveying equipment with which he subsequently surveyed much of Los Angeles County and laid out the townsite of Anaheim; image shows three-quarter turned bust view of Mr. Hansen, with goatee, wearing a dark jacket and vest, white shirt and dark bow-tie.
