Description
Library staff and visitors are standing in the Brand mansion reception hall admiring the large carved wood fireplace hood. This photo was taken before El Miradero, the home of Leslie C. Brand, was converted into Brand Library, sometime between 1946 and the early 1950s. Many of the original decorative features are still present including the entire fireplace and mantel, interior leaded glass windows, chandelier and carved Corinthian columns. Title supplied by cataloger.
