Portrait of E. Kate Rea, daughter of John and Margaret Rea who settled in Anaheim in 1896; Katella Avenue derived its name from the combined names of his daughters, Kate and Ella; Kate Rea taught at the Anaheim High School from 1901-1904, and several schools in the area until her retirement in 1921; she also served on the Anaheim Public Library Board for 45 years.
