Description
Color slide of a group of cyclists at the Southern California Road Race Championships held in Mission Viejo, California in 1974. There are approximately six cyclists visible in the photograph, and they are standing clustered together at their bicycles as if waiting for the start of the race. They have red and white numbers pinned to their sleeves. The cyclists are young men, perhaps even teenagers. The two cyclists in the foreground are wearing sponsorship jerseys; one of the jerseys is Shimano, the other one is Bell Helmets. On the frame of the slide is a label that reads, "74-044, Frame 003." The year "1974" is stamped on the slide frame.
