Description
Conrad Bullwinkel (1838-1921) at 80. He homesteaded the Little River area of Humboldt County from 1869. He was not related to George and John Bullwinkel(le) who also homesteaded nearby. The area was known as Bullwinkle until renamed Crannell in the early 1920s for the president of the Little River Redwood Company which purchased land from John Bullwinkle for the lumber mill.
