Description
The young people from Trinity Lutheran church in Los Angeles, California arriving on the train at the Santa Fe Depot located at West Chapman Avenue and Atchinson Street in Orange, California, September 6, 1909. Young people from St. John's Lutheran Church in Orange meet them with hay wagons to take them for a picnic at Orange County Park. In the foreground are railroad tracks and mailbox at right, and two luggage wagons backed up to the depot at left. Behind the crowd are commercial structures covered with ads: "Selz," "Wrigley's Spearmint," "OWL Cigar 5 cents."
