Description
North Orange Street in Orange, California, ca. 1925. Postcard image shows view looking north on North Orange Street from just south of East Chapman Avenue toward Orange Union High School. Automobiles are angle-parked on the east side of South Orange and parallel-parked on the west side. The sign for Daley's Grocery No. 56 located on the corner at 125 East Chapman Avenue is partially visible, with slogan "REDUCES / YOUR / LIVING COST" and directly behind is the sign for the Orange Tin Shop, 132 North Orange Street. On the other corner is 201 East Chapman Avenue, with no visible signage. Postcard is from the collection of Alfred Higgins, former vice principal at Orange Union High School [resided at 286 North Orange Street.]
