An interior photograph of the Brand Library reference room taken sometime during its opening year in 1956. The display cases and wood cabinet held unframed prints, and reference volumes line the somewhat empty shelves. The Brand Library is the art and music section of the Glendale Public Library. One of the few original decorative features in this room is the carved doorways leading into the next room. The Brand Library was once the home of Leslie C.
