This six page representative issue of the Daily Tulean Dispatch dated October 28, 1942 includes headlines such as "Growing Problem of Theft Serious," "Ratio is Two Females for Every Male Here," and "Thespians Elect New Director. The Tulean Dispatch went by three different titles in the course of its existence--the Tulean Dispatch, Tulean Dispatch Daily and the Daily Tulean Dispatch. It was published by the WRA in Newell California at the Tule lake Relocation Center, which the paper termed the "Tule Lake Colony" in its sub heading. The newspaper later became the Newell Star.
