Captain of the Royal Navy. Served on the H.M.S. Blossom which came to California (San Francisco and Monterey) in 1826-1827. Sketched with fellow officer Richard Beechey. Content/DescriptionLandscape with three men in the foreground; buildings of the Presido and Pueblo at center. Painted during a voyage to the Pacific (1825-1828) on the H.M.S. Blossom under Captain Frederick William Beechy.
