Unidentified actors in the California Motion Picture Corporation (CMPC) production of The Woman Who Dared, 1916. The Woman Who Dared was one of the CMPC's full length feature productions, and released shortly after their popular film The Unwritten Law. Set in Europe, The Woman Who Dared features Beatriz Michelena as an opera diva who works secretly as an international spy. The CMPC was located in the Sun Valley neighborhood of San Rafael between 1914 and 1921.The studio produced 15 films including Salomy Jane which survives in its entirety in the Library of Congress archives.
