Tournament of Roses Rose Parade "A Valentine Sweetheart" float for Santa Ana, 1947. "Santa Ana's first entry in the Parade won an Award of Merit. Miss Patricia Davey, a 17-year old Santa Ana High School student, rode the float entitled 'A Valentine Sweetheart.' This stunning float was described as the most lavish floral display in the history of the tournaments." The float has wording on the side: "Heart of the Orange Empire." A young lady stands in between two large oranges with a heart behind her. A large crowd is visible in the background. A man on horse and a young lady in uniform are behind the float.
