Description
West Main Street was a primary location of small businesses that began operation after 1902 in Turlock, California. The sign atop the building on the left states "Hedman & Olson, Contractors & Builders" which announces the business begun in 1903 by Martin Hedman and Theodore Olson. A harness shop is in the building across the street. Note the windmill behind a building on the left side of the street; access to a well was the only source of drinking water.
