Description
Black and white proof photograph of the first Rose Parade float sponsored by the Mission Viejo Company in 1977. The float depicts the columns and circular walls that are typical of street intersections in Mission Viejo. Specifically, the float depicts plaster walls with a trim of one layer of bricks along the top. The walls end with a brick newel post that has a white, spherical finial cap. At the edge of the float is an elderly man and woman and a young child. At their feet is "Mission Viejo California" with the city's logo to the left of the words. In the center of the float is a large canopy with hanging plants and other foliage. Proof #29 from a proof sheet. On the back of the proof sheet is "Rudi Niedzielski, 1-1-77, Rose Parade" written in black felt tip ink. The title of the float, "A Dream Come True," was obtained from the metadata form for a photograph of the construction of this float, camjl_194.
