Description
The train to Mount Tamalpais left from under the archway. McDonald's Jewelers, 74 Throckmorton Avenue, occupied this site in 1977. Rutherford's Pharmacy is to the right. The archway was decorated in honor of President McKinley who was to take the train trip but had to cancel when Mrs. McKinley became ill.
