Description
LATE 1890s, JAMES MULVEY AND ED WELLS, BICYCLE RACERS. Born in the area in 1865 and 1869 respectively, James Mulvey and Ed Wells found themselves caught up in a new national craze sweeping America -bicycle riding. Finding success in their efforts, both men eventually became Pacific Coast riding champions. page 45, Image of America : Dublin, by Mike Lynch and the Dublin Heritage Center.
