Description
May Festival M. Eltiste & Company parade float, Orange, California, 1922. Image shows tractor in the 100 unpaved block of North Waverly Street pulling trailer loaded with motor machinery, bearing signs that reads "INTERNATIONAL - McCORMICK - DEERING / SERVICE STATION / M. ELITISTE & COMPANY / ORANGE - SANTA ANA - FULLERTON" and "CRANKSHAFT AND / BALL BEARINGS / GUARANTEED FOR / LIFE OF MOTOR" Palm trees visible in background. The May Festival, which began in 1933 and also included the May Day Parade, continued to be held until 1991.
