Description
Leichtfuss residence, located at 277 North Pine Street, Orange, California, 2003. Image shows front view of single- story clapboard Craftsman bungalow, built in 1921-22 by Oscar Leichtfuss (d. 1946) who was an accountant for the Ehlen & Grote Co. His wife Lydia continued to live in the house until 1976. The house has a shallow-pitched, multigabled roof, with a large, corner wrap-around porch beneath the gable projections, supported by shallow, elephantine piers atop high concrete bases. The original door with plate glass windows is still present. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
