Description
Janet Evans earned 3 Olympic gold medals in swimming in 1988; and in 1992 she won 1 gold and 1 silver. Born and raised in Placentia, California, she attended El Dorado High School. The photograph is signed to Dr. Jertberg who was her principal at El Dorado High School. Janet Evans carried the Olympic Torch at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in 1996, handing the torch to Muhammad Ali to light the Olympic flame.
