Description
Pete Cutney and friend stand on San Bruno Avenue in front of the Brick House, famous because of how long it took to build. The German owner/builder bicycled to Bayshore each day to buy a load of bricks,or he found them at demolition sites and then bicycled back. After construction was abandoned it soon disappeared as residents took the bricks. The house was torn down in the 1960s. It was a special landmark in Brisbane, now covered by apartments and homes.
