Lowell Elementary School on 602 S. Flower. The word Lowell is on the front of the school. The flagpole is visible in front of the entrance to the school. The school was designed by architect Frederick Eley and opened in 1923. Damaged in the earthquake of 1971, the building was demolished. A new building was constructed on the site.
