Description
Plaza Square looking east toward Chapman Avenue, Orange, California, ca. 1920. Image shows Plaza Park on the left, surrounded with a chain-post fence. A man is sitting in a park bench. An automobile is visible to the right, turning down Chapman Avenue. The First National Bank is visible on the southeast corner at far right. Across from it is the National Bank of Orange, now the site of the Wells Fargo Bank building. To the right of the National Bank of Orange is the E.F. Whitted block (built 1902, raised 1954), with a millinery and MacDonald Furniture Company. Image is inscribed in white text at lower right, "ORANGE, CAL."
