Description
Seated are the 1910 champion basketball team of girls and their coach, Miss Maud Clark. She was also their principal. The Turlock High School girls are wearing their sports uniforms of midi blouses and bloomers. The basketball that proclaims them to be champions reads: S.J.V.A.A.L. Champions. While the full title of their league is unknown, the inclusion of San Joaquin Valley (S.J.V.) would indicate the possibility that these champions played against other teams not only in Stanislaus County but also Merced and San Joaquin Counties.
