Description
The hanging of Ah Ben, a Chinese immigrant, who murdered John McDaniel, owner of the Marysville Race Track, on the night of November 30, 1878. The hanging took place on Friday, March 14, 1879. Sheriff Hank L. McCoy appears on the right and Deputy Ike N. Aldrich on the left.
