Description: Plaza Park, Orange, California, ca. 1889. Image shows view looking north across the Plaza toward the west side of unpaved North Glassell Street, with newly planted palm trees and other landscaping around park dirt walkways. A street lamp is visible in left foreground, and the Staple Fancy Groceries store is on the northwest corner, at the upper center of the photograph. Horse-drawn buggies are visible in background along North Glassell. Tower of Lemon Street School (established 1886) is visible in background behind businesses. Streetcar tracks visible in bottom right corner.
