Description
Looking northeast toward Fresno County Courthouse, built in 1874-1875. First National Bank building on left and Fresno National Bank building on right. First tower in distance on left-hand side of image is the Fiske Block, and tower behind it is the Temple Bar Building. First tower in distance on right-hand side of image is the Fresno Loan and Savings Bank. All major structures shown in the image were erected during Fresno's first major boom, in 1889, save for the Fresno Loan and Savings Bank, which was enlarged from a smaller structure in that year.
