Accession number: P600 St. Joseph's Academy, located at 407 West Broadway, Anaheim; opened as a girls' seminary in 1912 by the Sisters of St. Dominic from Havana, Cuba; also known as Marywood Central Catholic High School at one time, later became Marywood High School for Girls ca. 1934 after the school was acquired by the Sisters of Providence of St. Mary-of-the-Woods of Indiana; image shows front facade of two-story building shortly after the original $20,000 structure was expaned in 1926, from across street; building demolished as part of Redevelopment Project Alpha.
