Description
One side is a map of Southern California showing the location of Mission Viejo in relation to other cities and places in California in the early 1970s. Among the attractions shown on the map are Magic Mountain, L.A. Zoo, Hollywood Bowl, UCLA, USC, Marineland, Queen Mary, Knott's Berry Farm, Disneyland, Anaheim Stadium, UCI, Lion Country Safari, Del Mar Race Track, UCSD, Sea World, San Diego Zoo. There is a key to the map that lists various cities and the amount of minutes it takes to drive to those cities from Mission Viejo in the early 1970s. The other side shows photographs representing the community of Mission Viejo. Showing the sports activities of the city are pictures of adults and/or children playing tennis, handball, basketball, baseball, and football. There is also a picture of swimmers about to dive into the pool from their platforms and a golfer standing on the green. There are also pictures of the Marguerite Recreation Center, people square dancing, horseback riding, on a hayride, and at various parks.
