Description
Construction of the Hall of Justice began in 1966 and was completed in 1969. As he had done with the Civic Center's Administration Building, Frank Lloyd Wright emphasized his theory of organic architecture in his design for the Hall of Justice. Construction of this second building in the Marin County Civic Center complex was overseen by Taliesin-trained architects William Wesley Peters and Aaron Green. The Hall of Justice is 880 feet long and the bays on both sides of the building are over 40 feet wide. The Hall of Justice houses the Marin County Superior Court. The Marin County Civic Center is a national and state designated historic landmark.
