Description
A popular, privately-owned and operated maternity hospital, run by Minnie Freise--a World War I nurse--from 1935 to 1953; it continued as a maternity home through 1960, served as a nursing home until mid-1970s, and was re-opened as a women's and children's shelter--Exodus House--in 2000.
