Description
This ten page representative issue of the Rohwer outpost dated March 10, 1943 includes headlines such as "Free Storage Warehouses to be Designated in California," "13 Depart for Chicago Plant," and features an editorial "Democracy at Home," which calls the relocation "selfish, undemocratic" and criticizes a bill which would prohibit anyone of Japanese ancestry from owning land in Arkansas. The Rohwer Outpost was published weekly by the WRA at the Rohwer relocation Center in Arkansas. Along with local and national news, It included a 2-4-page section in Japanese, a sports section, and a column briefing stories from other camp papers.
