Description
Located at the SE corner of Mariposa and I (later, Broadway) streets. Constructed in 1889 in Gothic-Romanesque style to house the bank, which was founded in 1882. Construction materials were pressed brick with stone trimmings. Bank later merged with the Bank and Trust Company of Central California to become the Fidelity Trust and Savings Bank, which later merged in turn with Security-First Bank of Los Angeles. The bank building was demolished ca. 1920 and replaced by an automobile service station.
