Description
CHARLES FRY AND ERNEST REIMERS (1894-1965), 1919. Standing in front of the Reimers Hotel, Ernest (right) carries on the work started by his father, Claus. The family not only possessed a strong work ethic, but they also had a penchant for running their businesses. Ernest held the unofficial record for giving away free drinks in his bar, thus keeping patrons there longer. An old, reclusive woodcutter who never changed his clothes, Charles Fry lived in a cabin on Mueke Ranch. (Courtesy Reimers Family.)
