Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce Exterior view of the Broadway Theater near the corner of Broadway and 5th Street. Automobiles, a bicycle and moped are parked outside the theater. Also visible is Erline's on the left with mannequins and clothes in the window and a Shoe Shine Parlor. Currently showing at the theater are: Howard Hawk's "Land of the Pharaohs" and "Las Vegas Shakedown" with Dennis OKeefe. The theater opened in 1926. The facade was extensively altered from its original appearance. It was the largest movie house in Orange County, seating 2,040. The theater was destroyed by fire in 1989 and not rebuilt.
