Description
Color slide of a La Paz Plaza sign and kiosk in Mission Viejo, California in 1971. The sign has a dark brown background with white letters that read "La Paz Plaza"; it is hanging from an L-shaped post that is also dark brown. The kiosk has four sides and a slanted, red clay colored roof. On top of the roof is a dark brown spherical cap. On the sides of the kiosk are small posters that appear to be under a glass casing. The kiosk is located on a red brick patio area. There are adults on the patio to the right side of the kiosk; they are sitting on a bench and leaning against a beige brick wall. On the left side of the kiosk is a boy sitting on a bicycle that is or resembles the Schwinn Stingray. The bicycle has the classic Stingray banana seat and long sissy bar. Visible in the background of the photograph are portions of Mount of Olives Lutheran Church, the peaks of Saddleback Mountain and the Santa Ana Mountains, and a mission-bell style streetlight. The slide frame has a label that reads "71-002, Frame 020," handwritten in pencil is "La Paz Plaza."
