Description
Entertaining visitors from Germany at the Jurgen Schmetgen ranch on Tustin Street in Orange, California, September 6, 1908, in the barn yard. Sitting on pumpkins in the front are two young Franzen children, Jurgen Schmetgen (wearing a hat and vest), and behind the children is Henry Hillebrecht. A young man stands with a shovel on his shoulder at the left. Next to him a man holds a gourd dressed with a bonnet, another young man holds a long pole. In the back are six women.
