N. East from Inspiration Point over "Silent City" in distance [?] (Powell Mt). You were fortunate to have this man there with me - a fearless six foot powerful young man - The point of ground he is on is a treacherous crumbling decomposed rock, & to get closer to the end would have meant a fall - the place was narrow as to be almost impossible to stand. Again this shows that (between ourselves) nothing , not even the stereograph, takes the place of actual travel to get realistic sensation of truth - Bryce Canyon, Utah
