Title from item. Tempest Storm (born Annie Blanche Banks) met Russ Meyer during during her debut performance at The El Rey Theater in Oakland in 1950. Their partnership helped launch them both to stardom, she as a pin-up model and striptease performer, Meyer as a cheesecake publisher and filmmaker. The photograph captures the exterior and marquee of the El Rey Theater at 3520 San Pablo Avenue in Oakland during Storm's final return performance in Oakland.
