Description
Half-length portrait of William T. Glassell (1831-1876.) This is the left half of a double portrait with his brother Andrew Glassell (1827-1901) taken around 1855 at the Steekel Photography Studio, Los Angeles, California. William, with beard and mustache, is dressed in the uniform of the United States Navy and is resting his left arm on a chair. Both men were instrumental in the formation of Orange, California.
