May Festival Parade in Orange, California, 1933. Image shows view looking northeast with several women dressed in gay nineties attire and carrying parasols, parading down the 100 block of North Glassell Street. Theme for parade was Spirit of the Gay '90s. Crowds are visible along sidewalks with the Bank of America (102 North Glassell Street) and Simon's Drug Store (106 North Glassell Street) in background. The May Festival, which began in 1933 and also included the May Day Parade, continued to be held until 1991. Photographic print B&w 9 x 11.5 cm.
