Description
El Modena Hotel, El Modena, California, ca. 1888. Image shows corner view of three-story wooden hotel with many people standing on porches and atop the roof. The hotel, located at the bottom of Tom Thumb Hill (El Modena Grade) was constructed in 1886-1887, opened to the public in 1888 and burned to the ground in 1889. It was also known as the Blont Hotel.
