Description
Elie and Julie Allemand outside of their hotel, 1929. Allemand's Hotel was the city's first major building, and can still be seen at the corner of San Bruno Avenue and Mariposa Street. Early Brisbane years, it also was a grocery store and served as Brisbane's post office, and hunting club. It is now an apartment building. It was also called "The Frenchman's Hotel" as the Allemands immigrated from France.
