Similar tintype backing plate found in 1989.049:004 and 1989.049:006, possibly indicating that they, too, are by J.S. Mattison. Full length portrait of infant in stroller. Unusual outdoor portrait with fence in background. 1860 Santa Cruz census lists son of J. S. Mattison, Frank, as 5 months old - possibly the sitter.
