Description
Frontal view of City Hall with World War I memorial in front. The memorial was temporarily erected in honor of returning troops. It was photographed by two German youths who later made color reproductions which were sold in San Francisco. Dealer shop was destroyed by fire in 1924 and the majority of these prints were lost and now are considered rare. Printed title (LC). Note from Charles Yale Bookseller relating to subject of print included with item.
