Description
For two other copies see 1905.16242:096 and the collection of the Oakland Museum of California. Clearly the original was copied numerous times after his shooting in 1856. San Francisco pioneer, banker, and editor of the Evening Bulletin newspaper. Murdered by James Casey in 1856. Half length portrait, with a beard and mustache, wearing a standing collar, and double breasted jacket.
