Description
Full titleand still. The lead steer will lead them direct to the killing pens. He enters with the cattle and makes a complete circle around the pen, and comes out. By this time the last steer has entered and the gate is closed. For this work, the lead steer is allowed to go into a field of rich grass and have a good feed. This is a photograph of the lead steer for - Alpert Packing Company, Third and Evans streets, Bay View, San Francisco. From Jesse B. Cook, April 12, 1928
