Certificate surmounted by mining tools and surrounded by views including: San Francisco Bay in 1849; male and female Indians with child in papoose; Sutter's Fort and Mill; miners with cradles, picks, and gold pans at work in front of log cabin; prospectors with pack mules; raising of Bear flag and state seal of California; and cowboys.
