Description: Indian encampment near lake with high mountain range (Landers Peak) in distance. Several tipis (teepees, tepees) with Indian men, women, and children involved in various activities; livestock, dogs, and horses nearby; blankets, saddles, and various domestic objects throughout camp. Image related to trip Bierstadt made to west with Fitz Hugh Ludlow in 1863 .
